Five teams took part in our "Heroes" themed Fancy Dress Sponsored Netball game at Elmore Green Primary School which for the third year running was a key part of our "24:7" series of fundraising and awareness-raising events. The winning team The Winning Netball Heroescame from local company Homeserve Membership's Customer Administration department who defeated their colleagues from the firm's Collections department in the final of a tournament in which Elmore Green Parents, Samaritans, and Elmore Green Teachers also fielded squads. To date we have received nearly £300 sponsorship (updated November 08)

SATURDAY 5TH  JULY  2008

The Samaritans Smart Car in the Pelsall Carnival paradeWe  had a stall at Pelsall Carnival - nice to see you there, everyone who attended. We had information and bric-a-brac and a competition to guess how many balloons in the Samaritans Smart Car. Prior to its appearance at our stall, the car took part in the Carnival Parade around the village and drew plenty of comment from  spectators.

No-one guessed the exact number of balloons in the car, so the £20 prize goes to the nearest guess.

You can see more pictures from the day at Flickr.
