Special events

We like to get out and about. Last year we had collections in pubs and at Walsall FC, a market stall, our '24:7' fancy dress netball and a display at the New Art Gallery, Walsall and are hoping to do more this year. For us its an opportunity to raise some funds, publicise our service but above all to meet people. Look out for us - if you see us, come and say hello. You'll be welcome! 

Mickey Mouse, Homer Simpson, Superman...smart cars and carnivals...what do they have in common? They've all had a part to play in Walsall Samaritans'  events in 2008.

DIARY DATES

Information Evenings for Prospective Volunteers:

If you would like to know more about volunteering with Samaritans, we hold information evenings at approximately monthly intervals - the evenings are usually held at our centre in Bott Lane, Walsall, start at 7.30 p.m. and last for about one and a half hours. If you feel you would like to attend one, do give us a ring on our dedicated Volunteer Enquiry number  07852 770202.  For directions to the centre, click on How to find us.

Thanks to everyone who came to our recent Information Evenings - we look forward to welcoming some of you soon as volunteers in the branch. 

The dates of the next information events at our centre in Bott Lane will be Tuesday 13th January 2008.

Mandy and Tim who were going to run in the Birmingham Half-Marathon have had to pull out due to injury, but are planning to do another sponsored run in aid of the branch as soon as possible. Details to follow when available.
